Importance of Quality Control in Manufacturing Industry

 Quality: 

Level of acceptance of a products or services is called quality. Quality has to maintain from the initial stage of sourcing raw materials to finished goods to sell those product to end user through buyer / retailer. A quality garments should be free from all kinds of defects cause no one will buy a product with poor quality and visible defective garments. Achievieng customer satisfaction is the ultimate goal of every manufacturing company. Quality of product is the main focusing point to be satisfied. To produce good quality product, there must need a persistent effort from every responsible person.

What will happen if not produce quality products?

• Alteration & rejection of garments will be high.
• Additional manpower need to provide for check.
• Waste Productive time for alter rectify.
• Production will be less as can't use 100% working hour of all manpower.
• Style closing delay.
• Work extra hours to recover it.
• Inspection may fail and so that recheck process need to conduct for resure quality.
• Delivery will not on time, Short shipment may happen.
• Production cost will increase / Less profit.
• Customers may unhappy so that factory may loose brand value.

There will be more financial loss if garments got rejected / Claimed after shipment also because of critical mistakes ( quality failure ) like style mistake, color mistake, wrong size ratio and shade variation.

This is why it is important to control and maintain quality while producing goods from the beginning to end of all processes. It's not possible to produce 100% fault free goods. So to ensure the quality products, check system must be running in every process of every section and every checkers, operators, inspectors, supervisors has to take ownership to continue. If the problem find out by the checker on initial stage then corrective action can be taken to solve.

There are 3 main stage of check / inspections involve for the production cycle. Those are-

1. Inspect Raw Materials - Fabric, Yarn and all kinds of accessories.
2. In process - Inline check/ Roving QC, Endline Check at every line of every section and pre-final inspection before ready for final inspection.
3. Final Inspection.

So it is must needed quality control system in right places to monitor & ensure quality product for the reputation and growth of a company.
